Marcus Simonsson – Founder

Marcus Simonsson is an amateur astronomer who runs the blog AstroWonder to share his love of stargazing and space discoveries. By day, he teaches high school physics, infecting students with his infectious enthusiasm. But most nights you’ll find him in his backyard observatory, peering at lunar craters, jewel-like star clusters, and mysterious nebulae through his trusty telescope. Mark wants to bring that same childlike wonder to you, whether it’s through his reviews of astronomy gear, astrophotography of galaxies from his own observations, tips on navigating the night sky, or news about the latest research that excites him as a citizen scientist.

Alyssia Peters – CoFounder

Alyssia Peters dreams of unveiling the mysteries of the cosmos. When not working as a physicist researching solar cycles at the local university, Alissa can often be found in backyard astronomy sessions, operating their cameras and analyzing incoming data. Alyssia lends her academic expertise to interpreting astronomical discoveries and journal articles for curious lay audiences. Her astrophotography and DIY telescope hacks also adorn the pages of Starry Eyed, seeking to make the wonders of the universe accessible to all.

Michael Colider – CoCoFounder

Michael Colider brings his skills as a science journalist to the astronomy blog Astro Wonder, seeking to translate his wonder of the cosmos into engaging stories for all readers. Whether he’s interviewing NASA researchers about exoplanet discoveries, explaining the latest black hole images from the Event Horizon Telescope, or simply conveying the marvels of the Milky Way Galaxy, Michael adds an informative yet entertaining style. When he’s not writing about the latest developments, you can find him gazing up at the majesty of the night sky, dreaming of unraveling its many mysteries through his trusty backyard telescope.
